MEI Completes Eye Catching Cab Upgrade
MEI renovated cab interiors with full LED backlit custom images at 241 Broadway, in Milwaukee’s trendy 3rd Ward. The glass picture panels are fully backlit with images from the Milwaukee area, which were selected by the owner.
In addition to the new rear panels, MEI also added UVC Germicidal & Dual HEPA filtration cab fans on each of the two elevators in the duplex. These installations are excellent examples of the quality of installation work MEI is known for in Southeastern WI.
The MEI team that helped with this project include account manager John Friedrichs, and mechanics Tam Catterall & David Loessin (LED Cab Panels) and Kyle Jensen & Phil Weller (UVC/HEPA Cab Fans)!

MEI Completes Modernization at Marquette University
Schroeder Hall, a 10-story dormitory at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI was having frequent service issues with their passenger elevators causing a lot of problems for the 650 students that lived there.
The university contacted Performance Elevator Consulting to find a reliable solution to keep the elevators running smoothly. The consultant began working on a plan to modernize the elevators and MEI was awarded the contract to execute the work.
Marquette University’s overall goal was to make sure the elevators in Schroeder Hall could handle heavy periods of usage, provide residents safe and reliable elevators and ultimately minimize service/repair calls.
Working alongside Magnetek and GAL, MEI began modernizing two passenger elevators. Using GALaxy IV by GAL and Magnetek Quattro AC Cube Elevator Drives, MEI was able to improve the ride quality and operating efficiency of the elevators in Schroeder Hall.

- Performing a baseline oil analysis with a full report and explanation of the results
- Provide a proposal for filtration scrubbing to properly filter the elevator oil. This process can be completed without shutting down the elevator!
